ICT skills are essential in the 21 st century and are a core part of
our teaching and learning. ICT skills are included in the curriculum in
two ways: through delivery of the ICT scheme of work (making links with
pupils’ learning in other areas) and using ICT as an every day tool in
class for learning and communicating.
We recognise ICT as an important life skill which prepares children to participate successfully in a rapidly changing world. The curriculum places emphasis on the development of communication skills, modelling, handling information and monitoring.We are proud of our computer suite with 15 workstations. In addition to this facility, each class has additional computers and an interactive whiteboard. Through the school’s extensive technology reources, children have regular access to the most up to date technology, such as: digital cameras, microphones, data loggers, roamers and a range of fantastic software programmes. All pupils have supervised access to the Internet and have signed a Safe Use agreement.
